Ekenem Isichei is currently the CEO of ACIOE Associates, a reputable advisory services firm based in Abuja, Nigeria. He has distinctively served different local and international clients such as BG Group, BP North America, and Marathon oil, Accenture, Chevron, Procter and Gamble, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Chemonics, Unilever, ABT Associates, Palladium etc.
He has a proven track record of delivering outstanding results and advisory services in the areas of Government relations (Public Affairs), strategy, trade and Investments, compliance, business performance, turnaround management, gap analysis, risk and project management across different sectors.
He consistently interfaces with several key stakeholders in the public and private sector with the aim of improving the ease of doing business in Nigeria and across West Africa.
In the Agricultural space, Ekenem worked on several projects aimed at reducing post-harvest losses by evaluating the entire value chain for certain commodities. He has also worked on a project geared towards making cities in Nigeria develop a resilient strategy.
Ekenem also organized and facilitated meetings, investment forums, seminars and programs designed to build technical capacity, encourage supply chain opportunities and improve the trade and investment business climate. He has spoken on several panels in Nigeria and across Africa on topics around the economic development, ICT, Trade, Investments, Health, Agriculture etc.
In Delta State, he has been a supportive member of the DESG Unsung Heroes program. He also facilitated the supply and distribution of health and hygiene products to front-line health care workers in Delta state during the lockdown period. He also facilitated the installation of handwash stations across several Isolation centers.
When he is not working, he volunteers his time with the Lux Terra Leadership Foundation and the Redeemed Church of God. He developed a program for a client which is currently training over 110,000 young women and girls across three states in Nigeria on basic literacy, ICT and livelihood development
Ekenem has Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, A master’s degree in Engineering Management. He has also taken executive education courses at Harvard University and the Warton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
